This weekend I attended a holiday cocktail party for my work. It’s been years since I’ve gone to a holiday party and I was a little nervous about dressing up. In Seattle people tend to always dress causally, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I prefer dressing on the causal side as well. Dresses and skirts can be constricting, and the dilemma of choosing the proper pair of tights, shoes, and coat is even more work.
I knew I wanted to wear something with a little sparkle. I decided to go with this skirt from J.Crew but kept the top causal with this navy blue cashmere sweater. I lucked out with the shoes. I just got these Jambu boots the other day and they went perfectly with my smart causal look. These boots are amazingly comfortable. In my last post, I wore another pair of booties by Jambu. I was able to wear this new pair right out of the box for the entire night pain free.
Did you have a company holiday party this year? What did you wear?
