A few years ago I bought the cutest pair of ankle boots. I wore them for a couple weeks and then developed significant pain in both of my big toes. It was unbearable. Shortly after I went to the doctor and was told I had tendinitis in my toes and should wear a supportive shoe with a rigid sole (something like clogs).
I’ve tried almost every comfort shoe under the sun. Last year I purchased two pairs of Dansko sandals (worn in this post) and a Dankso ankle boot. Both are great and comfortable. However, when it comes to boots, I prefer something with a lower heel and a streamlined appearance. My Dankso boot is 4 inches tall!
A few weeks back, I stumbled on a pair of Dr.Scholl’s booties on Zappos. A lot of Dr. Scholl’s have a rigid foot bed and look more contemporary then what I’m used to for comfort shoes. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and inexpensive they were. As recommended, I sized up a half size. I wear a 7 1/2 and purchased an 8.
If you have any other stylish comfort shoe recommendations, please leave them in the comments.
Love your outfit❗ Thanks for the recommendation for comfy boot brands. I do alot of walking. I have been enjoying your blog, keep it up.
I lover the booties and they look comfortable.lots of useful shoe shopping tips.
Danskos for me, too! They are so accepted in the healthcare setting and so comfortable that I don’t know if I will ever stop wearing them.
Agreed. Let me know if you find another brand that you like.
