Coral & Stripes

July 2, 2015

Lace & Pearls Stripe Dress 2Lace & Pearls Stripe Dress 1Lace & Pearls Stripe Dress 3 Lace & Pearls Stripe Dress 4Dress: J. Crew (old) | Cardigan: Nordstrom (old) | Necklace: J.Crew (old) | Bracelets: J.Crew (old) Nordstrom (old) | Sandals (old) | Lip gloss: M.A.C in color Sinnamon

Whenever I wear this dress I always go for the coral cardigan and statement necklace. I love the combination of coral with navy. This dress is one of my favorites due to it’s length. I’m on the shorter side and it can be hard to find a dress that falls above the knee. This one is perfect. I really should challenge myself to come up with another way to style this dress with either a jacket or a different color cardigan and change out the shoes and accessories. Any ideas?

Have a Happy 4th everyone! Hope the weather cooperates. Thanks for reading.

You always look so fresg and put together! I agree that the coral looks perfect with the stripes. I have been pairinf my basic dresses with a sleeveless denim vest and I love how it changes the look so easily. It’d also be cute with a bright scarf to keep that splash of color you added so well with the cardigan 🙂

Aww, thanks Cami! That means a lot coming from you. I admire your fashion aesthetic so much.
I love the denim vest idea, I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. I like the idea of adding a scarf too. Thanks for the tips, they are really helpful. 🙂

Maybe with a jean jacket? Or a red blazer? You could also put a belt on it and wear it with boots for the fall. 🙂

Thanks for the tips Kelly. I appreciate. I’ve been wearing a denim jacket in the mornings, but with the weather we are having it’s no longer necessary. I like the red blazer idea, I thought about a red cardi too.

I’m loving the summer preppy look! Coral & navy are such a great duo. That dress would also look great with any bright pink or orange cardigan – or a denim jacket for a slightly more laid-back look 🙂

Oh thanks Mil! 🙂 You’re so sweet.
I like the bright pink cardigan idea and the denim jacket. In the mornings, I have been wearing a denim jacket but lately the weather has been too warm to wear one. Thanks for the tips, I love it! 🙂

Hun, you look absolutely stunning in that striped dress! I love how you add colour to your outfit by pairing it with a coral cardy 🙂 That colour is amazing! When it comes to colours, I’m a bit boring, I think I’d combine this dress with a black waterfall blazer or a leather jacket 🙂 Happy Monday! xo Vivian

I like the idea of a waterfall blazer or a leather jacket. Those are good closet staples to have.
