Happy 2 Months!

On Saturday, Lace & Pearls turns two months old! This time last year I purchased this domain on 12/31. My 2014 resolution was to create and maintain a blog. I didn’t get the courage to start until I received my renewal notice two months ago. My thought was to begin blogging, get a feel for it, and decide if I would renew. I decided to stick it out and I am so glad I did. 🙂

In honor of Lace & Pearls turning two months, I wanted to give a big THANK YOU to all of the amazing people I have connected with and those of you who have taken time out of your day to comment/like/follow. When I started, I hoped to have 50 readers within a year, and my readership has already surpassed that!

Over four years ago I created another blog that was not focused on personal style. I kept it up for a few months but then after getting married I did not continue. Lace & Pearls is much more personal. On my previous blog, there were no images of me except for on the about page. One day I received a comment from someone who was a reader. I was so thrilled that I was not writing to myself. I am amazed by the growth this blog has achieved in such a short time span.

Today it’s much easier for people to find you online. That doesn’t mean I’m brave enough to tell my coworkers or share this blog on Facebook. Last week I finally updated my Instagram to include my blog. It just feels awkward telling people that you run a blog (or maybe I’m just awkward). It’s probably a little bit of both.

Thank you for all of your support and encouragement. You are amazing and I really enjoy our daily interactions and getting to know you through your blogs. I’m sending a big virtual hug your way! If you’re not a hugger, sorry buster but I still like you anyway! 🙂

  1. Amazing post doll. Congrats on your small blog anniversary. I had the same problem, just for me lasted for 5 years. Not sure why, just you always think that you are not good enough like others. You are not alone. We all feel the same 🙂 have a great weekend. Mel
